Trade Handy Australia ("Trade Handy", "we", "us", "our") operates the Trade Handy platform, app and website at tradehandy.com.au (the "Platform"). Trade Handy Australia is operated under ABN 95 683 837 519. You can contact us at contact@tradehandy.com.au or 0409 111 716.
By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, requesting a quote, joining as a tradie, supplier or educator, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Platform for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business. You must be at least 18 years old.
Trade Handy is an all‑trades network that connects clients with vetted independent trades, and provides supporting tools (matching, the The Yard resource finder, the trade calculator, Trades Pooling, supplier and educator listings).
Membership tiers are Cashies, Tradies and Pro Trades, plus client, supplier and educator accounts. You must provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it up to date, including any licences, tickets, insurances and ABN details. We may verify your information and may decline, suspend or remove an account at our discretion (see clause 15). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
To protect both clients and trades and to keep the guarantees we provide, all quoting, job management and payment for work introduced through the Platform must take place on the Platform.
The Platform uses a two‑way rating and review system for clients and trades. Reviews are moderated and released at Trade Handy's discretion to protect both sides and remove dishonest or unfair content. Reviews must be honest, based on a genuine experience, and must not be misleading, defamatory or discriminatory. Full business and personal details of trades are not published; clients see only released ratings and comments. We may decline to publish, edit for length, or remove reviews.
You must provide accurate job information, safe and timely site access, and pay accepted quotes and fees when due. You must not use the Platform to obtain services you do not intend to pay for.
The Platform offers AI‑assisted tools (including material price estimates and supplier matching). You may use your own AI provider subscription (a major provider such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google) or use Trade Handy's AI service for a fee. AI outputs, calculator results and price estimates are indicative and informational only, are not a quote or professional advice, and must be verified before you rely on them. Trade Handy is not liable for decisions made in reliance on AI outputs.
Some features use your device location (with your permission) to find nearby suppliers, materials and trades. You can decline or turn this off; some features may then be limited. See the Privacy Policy.
The Platform, its software, design, the "Trade Handy" name and logo, and all related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Trade Handy and may not be copied, reverse‑engineered or used without permission. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant Trade Handy a licence to use it to operate and promote the Platform (for example, approved work showcases with client consent).
You must not misuse the Platform, provide false information, harass others, or breach any law. We maintain internal, conduct‑based records to protect members; these are not based on protected attributes. We may verify members, capture limited security information (including IP address and time of sign‑up) to prevent and investigate fraud or unlawful activity, and may suspend or terminate any account (including an individual on/off switch) where we reasonably consider it necessary. We disclose information to authorities only as required or permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) the Platform is provided "as is"; (b) Trade Handy is not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship or conduct of independent trades, clients, suppliers or educators; and (c) our liability for any claim is limited, at our option, to re‑supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re‑supplied. You agree to indemnify Trade Handy for loss arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful conduct.
If a dispute arises, contact us first at contact@tradehandy.com.au and we will try to resolve it in good faith, including through our job‑completion and held‑funds process where relevant. If unresolved, the dispute is subject to the laws and courts referred to in clause 19. This does not limit your right to approach a relevant ombudsman, fair trading body or tribunal.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
